Dalle fustelline tonde si ricavano le fustelline sagomate per deformazione a caldo.
Anche le fustelline sagomate sono realizzate nelle tipologie TUSL - TUSS - TUSSF - TUFC

Nella figura sottostante sono rappresentate le forme ottenibili che vengono abitualmente usate per la realizzazione di disegni particolari ad effetto.
Ciascun codice è formato da 3 cifre, un punto, 2 cifre.
Le prime tre cifre codificano la forma della fustella. Le ultime due cifre il diametro in decimi della fustellina tonda da cui quella sagomata viene ricavata.

La presenza di sostanze chimiche nella carta copiativa rende necessario l’utilizzo di un filetto con elevate caratteristiche meccaniche. Per questo nel campo della modulistica viene utilizzata la qualità Extra-hard (HS) durezza 52/53 HRC con taglio laterale. E’ necessaria anche elevatissima precisione nell’altezza della lama che picchia in battuta su controcilindri duri. Infine le lame vengono tagliate e fornite nella lunghezza desiderata.
